Well its time to pay tribute to a great comedian.Leslie Nielsen, who passed away this week due to pneumonia, brought to life many of our favourite characters, including Doctor Rumack and Lt. Frank Drebin. He also showed us all that humour can be found by taking the most ridiculous material seriously. Even though he was 84 when he passed, it still seems like too soon.

Today I just want to pay my respects to the late great Leslie Nielsen. If you’re around my age you’ll probably remember him as king of the hilarious spoof movies in the eighties and nineties. If you’re a lot younger you might know him as the old guy in the not very funny modern spoof movies of the last decade. If you’re a lot older you may remember his large body of work (mainly in TV) as a serious actor during the fifties and sixties. His screen career has spanned six decades, 61 years if you include The Waterman Movie slated to come out next year. [..]
I dug around in my old youtube account and found some earlier stuff we did. Here’s one of the earliest sketches we did and one we did during film school days

Oh we were so young!
Another quirky podcast with Rowan, Pierce and Rodger. Starting with the 48 hour film festival then moving onto the Oscar’s hosts and Due Date. Pretty standard. But then thinks take a strange turn where we begin slagging charities which of corse leads to sluts and porn which then leads to technology and ecological footprints. I really don’t know how we do it sometimes. Enjoy.

It seem the last year or so any music magazine you flip, movie trailers you watch and even particular vampire movies you despise seem to have something to do with the band Muse. Literally they have been the biggest band of the year and in my opinion, if the 90s had Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine; the “00s” to me is Muse.
