Sorry everyone no big review this week. Kind of been caught up with other things like work and film shoots. So I haven’t had much time to watch movies, tv or play games. Okay that’s a lie but I haven’t had much time to write about it. However there is something big finally happening I should talk about. The end of an era. The dark lord himself finally been brought to justice. I think you all know what I’m talking about. No the last Harry Potter movie is still a few months away. I’m talking about the death of Osama Bin Laden. So, yes a shock I know. I’m actually talking about real world issues. Didn’t think I watched the news? Well I don’t but this is everywhere, it’s kind of hard to miss. [..]

Where am I?0

I had an extremely busy weekend of working my day job while also shooting a short film. With a successful Friday night shoot under our belt the Breadcrumbs crew decided to spent Saturday night relaxing with a friendly drinking game based around the show Community. Much was drunk and from what I remember we ened up watching Pulp Fiction too. This morning I have a slight lean as I no longer have any feeling in the left side of my body. I tend to drink a lot, but it have been years since I have been this hungover. I pray that I recover enough to survive tonights film shoot. Anyway here is some mindless action stuff.

Well it’s easter time again so we’re surounded by public holidays and have very little to do. Sure you could spend the time with your family or some crap but lets face it, what we want is to be entertained. So here is some suggestions of what’s new to entertain yourself over the next few days:

Movie – Thor is out as of yesterday. That’s right the first big Marvel superhero movie of 2011 is now screening. While this was the movie a lot of people were worried would suck, it is currently sitting on 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. Dam that is impressive. With mostly possitive reviews across the board, it sounds like Marvel may have a hit on their hands.

Game – Portal 2 is now for sale. The sequel to one of the most loved and praised games of all time, had its release date moved up and came out two days ago. This an intelligent satire, disguised as a puzzle game, disguised as a first person shooter. Avalible for PC, PS3 and Xbox, the sequel boasts to be much longer and even trickier then the original. So if you’re busting to try a new game this long weekend, this is the one.

DVD/Blu-Ray – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 just out last week. Great movie and it’s the perfect time to catch up on the Potterverse before the final film in July. Need I say more?

TV – Game of Thrones. A brand new HBO series whose pilot has just aired and definitely worth a look. It’s a medieval fantasy show based on a very popular book series. Very gritty, very adult the show closely sticks to the brutal violence and sexually explicit nature of the book. There are a few little fantasy elements but the show mainly focuses on the people who inhabit and rule these strange lands. Plus Sean Bean plays one of the leads characters and he always looks good wielding a sword.

That is it from me and from all of us a Breadcrumbs, have a good easter.

Well there hasn’t been much news at all this week. I heard that the comicbook Chew is getting a TV pilot. It’s an award winning comic Set in a world where poultry is illegal, about a detective who has the odd psychic ability to see the past history of anything he eats. As strange as it sounds it is meant to be fantastic and something that could make a cool TV series.

The Deadpool movie still wont die as Tim Miller is now attached to direct. He hasn’t got any directing credits to his name but he has worked in effects for X-men, Daredevil and more recently, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World. Also the script is being handled by the writers of Zombieland, who probably would have the right sense of humour to bring the Merc With The Mouth to the big screen. So hopefully all this movement on the project will encourage Ryan Reynolds to make some room in his busy schedule.

Speaking of Reynolds and Superheroes, a new trailer for Green Lantern is out and it gives me so much more confidence that this could be a good movie then the first under-welming trailer. Have a look and see what you think.

As we all know by now, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the governor of California has announced that he is finishing his political career and returning to film. I can’t be stuffed typing Arnold Schwarzenegger so from here on out he’ll be referred to as Arnie. [..]
